Railway
Connolly Station
A single block, black and white lino print of Dublin’s Connolly Station, inspired by an empty platform and train late one Sunday night. Made in 2016.
Abbesses
A small A6 black and white lino print made in late 2019. The print was a result of a trip to Paris, where I took some joy in all of the architecture, in particular the art nouveau style of the Hector Guimard designed metro station entrances.
Footbridge
A small A6 black and white lino print, made in late 2015, based on a bridge in my hometown, a former railway town which fell into a slow decline after the railway closed in 1967. The bridge still stands, albeit closed off to the public. I often wonder about how the town might be different today had the railway remained open.
Pearse Station
An A4 black and white print taken from the key block of a planned multi block print.
Train Carriage (black)
A small A6 print done around 2015. I was drawn to the emptiness of a space designed for people, and the sensations of loneliness and abandonment that evoked.
